POST Academy is no longer approving outside obtained training for POST recertification credits. Credit hours can only be awarded by POST certified instructors. Agencies have the option of having the vendor’s instructors apply to become POST certified instructors, thereby giving them the ability to issue credits for their classes. For that process, the individual instructor must be sponsored by a law enforcement agency and follow the process listed on the instructor application. Lesson plans must follow the stated goals and objectives for the topic an instructor seeks endorsement.
