Raised in Pennsylvania, Rich is a graduate of Edinboro University of PA with a degree in Criminal Justice. He completed his postgraduate studies in detection of deception at Reid College in 1983 and is Certified in the Reid Technique. Rich has conducted over 20,000 interviews and interrogations, and has conducted seminars for military intelligence. Special Forces, Federal Air Marshals Service and has conducted seminars in Canada, Israel, Kuwait, Mexico and Singapore. Rich has also been a guest lecturer at Northwestern University Law School and Villanova Law School speaking on the subject of False Confessions, has taught our program Hiring the Best, at the Sloan Business School at MIT, and was a guest lecturer at a masters level course for the IMDDA, Investment Management Due Diligence Association in NYC. Rich worked with the Innocence Project in NYC to help exonerate Frank Sterling for a murder he did not commit, and in another case obtained a double murder confession in a four year old cold case in Virginia.
